ifilm to air ‘Edge of Darkness’ from next week

ifilm’s ‘Edge of Darkness’ series has been scheduled to go on air from this Monday.

Directed by Saeed Soltani and produced by Hossein Pirhadi as well as Ali-Akbar Shah-Moradi, ‘Edge of Darkness’ is a 2005 production.

In the series, Nasser turns to drugs to cope with his loss and gets fired as a consequence, after the death of his wife.

In his search for a new job, he meets an old friend, a big-time drug dealer who offers him a job and something more.

‘Edge of Darkness’ cast list includes Mina Jafarzadeh, Alireza Jafari, Roya Teimourian, Danial Hakimi, Pejman Bazeghi, Azita Lachini, Yekta Nasser, Mohammad-Ali Keshavarz, Farhad Besharati, Reza Khandan, Amir Atashani, Shaqayeq Nazeri and Aram Jafari.

The director, Soltani, is a graduate of cinema from Tehran University’s Faculty of Fine Arts.

He was a teacher for a while; but due to his directing work and TV projects, he resigned from his job and dedicated his time to directing and editing.

Soltani began directing with a short film. He then wrote and directed a few TV series.

He is most famous for directing the hit series ‘After the Rain’. Then he has directed series such as ‘Youth’, ‘The Way of Love’, ‘Years of Snow and Violet’, ‘Shokraneh’, ‘Setayesh’, ‘Zero Hour’, and ‘Setayesh 2’ from 2001 to 2013.
